Quick question, do you lose access to the game or do you just lose the ability to get the license for the game?

If you delete a ps+ game after downloading (and it has exited ps+) can you still download the game again?

Also when you stop paying for ps+ do you lose access to any games via it?

You lose the ability to play IGC games if you aren't subscribed, but they are always tied to your account, even after they are removed from the active promotion.

So for example, I downloaded inFamous 2 via PS+ last summer which has now been replaced by Dragon's Dogma, Uncharted 3 and XCOM. I can still go on the PS Store & download inFamous 2 via it's page or my account history freely, but only if I'm actively subscribed to PS+.

I don't think a game which has been part of PS+ has ever been removed from PSN outright, but if it's anything like XBL, I'd imagine you can always download stuff you've bought or been given via IGC.

Additionally, any game you buy which has an added PS+ discount is yours to keep forever, even outside of an active subscription.

Wow. Dont Starve... havent played it but looks like a great game from watching the gameplay clips.  Guess I should start hunting for a PS4... (I see amazon had some last night)

Glad I didn't bought DmC a few weeks ago. There is relevant DLC for it so PS+ version is great for me :D

Also remember that even if you don't have a PS4, you can add the PS4 games to your account if you use the online store interface. They'll be there waiting for you when/if you get a PS4.

Yep! :D

PS+: So good it makes you wish you didn't buy games.

I have to say, PS+ certainly makes me think twice about spending any money on PSN, which obviously isn't a good thing for Sony.

That "fear" of buying something which will be in IGC next month always puts me off. I'll usually only buy something with a PS+ discount that is still relatively new to avoid being stung.

Yep, I found that out a couple of days ago. :D I'm not planning on getting a PS4, but when the games build up, it may become like the PS Vita, where you have a huge backlog of games ready for you to play for no extra cost if you decide to take the dive, which I eventually did with the PS Vita after the latest price drop. :P

Same here. PS+ might be working too well

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. (Y) I usually wait until a decent offer comes along on the PSN store (which thankfully is nowhere near as long as waiting for one over on the Xbox Live Marketplace :P), and then have an internal debate on whether it'll eventually show up in the Instant Game Collection. No "bad luck", so to speak, so far. Only MotorStorm RC's turned up in the IGC that I already bought, and it was only the PS Vita version; it's a Cross-Buy game, so I got both the PS3 and PS Vita versions. ;) If the Sly Cooper HD Collection and the Zone of the Enders HD Collection all turn up in the IGC, then that'll be a different story. :P (They already put up the first Sly Cooper game in the IGC before and that convinced me to buy the rest of the collection when it was on sale) Usually with me, it happens with Steam sale games.

Same here.  Heck, I have only bought one retail game on my ps4 and yet I have games to play and will have even more as the months go by.

I suppose Sony is betting that most gamers do not live on the free games offered via PS+.  I hope most don't, otherwise we may see a price hike at some point.

SONY has already greatly upgraded the games offered by the PS+ program (from Minis and PSN titles to full AAA titles within their catalog) without any sort of price hike. The current price is on a pretty much golden sweet spot and I don't think they'll mess with it. SONY gets a secure revenue stream, publisher gets paid, gamers get games. Everybody is happy.

Contrast and Resogun were great Free games on PS+ but incredibly short.

I cleared both of them the day i downloaded them within an hour or so so were deleted shortly after.

However they are indie games and not expected to be AA titles and the PS4 current game count just doesn't allow for any just yet to be added to PS+

It's a shame though it took so long for borderlands 2 to come, specially given i gave my ps3 to my nephew and only currently have the PS4.

Never say never.

Sony is a business after all. If some kind of pressure comes to bare, they will have to react.

As I said before, its not something that would happen now. Then again, how many people were confident that Sony would move multiplayer behind a pay wall to begin with? So you never know.
