[HTML] html for emails

Question

Hello,

I need to build an HTML template that will be used as a news letter.

I did a small research online and it seems that HTML for emails need to have some custom tweaks.

anyway, does anyone knows of a free (or cheap) tool to generate such HTML? (online or offline)

thanks in advance

HTML for emails doesn't need to have custom tweaks.

Just make sure to be safe that it'll render on the majority of email clients is to write it as pure HTML.

No CSS at all. While some clients will read CSS, some clients won't

These are good:

You obviously will need some html/css knowledge.

I disagree with Lingwo, HTML emails/newsletters do need to have custom tweaks to make sure they look the same in all mail clients.

If you don't know html/css - Just use something like Mailchimp to manage your newsletter

Coding HTML-emails yourself requires lots of research and testing. Unless this is for a company that will pay you good money, please concider finished made templates.

PS: I work with e-mail newletters and other email marketing and information sendouts for a living - I can tell you that 60% of our e-mails are opened on an iOS or Android operating system. - even though our customers are over 60 years of age in average. Point: Remember responsive design!!
