$5K from mystery "Tips for Jesus" patron

PORTLAND ? A lot of people feel more generous during the holiday season and they do a lot of different things including leaving a larger tip than usual.

Now someone is taking generosity to a new level and leaving thousands of dollars in gratuities all around the country. The mystery customer always stamps the receipt with the words "tips for Jesus."

Those words "tips for Jesus" were left on a bill for $560 at a bar in Port Orchard, Washington and the receipt included a $5,000 tip.

It wasn't a one-of-a kind gesture. The man left a $1,000 tip in Hollywood, California and then $10,000 in Chicago.

Each time, he stamps "tips for Jesus" on the receipt and pays with an American Express black card reserved for elite customers.

There an Instagram account @tipsforjesus that?s tracking his goodwill.

Bo?s waiter Aruj Dhawan told The Post that his big tipper was eccentric former PayPal Vice President Jack Selby, who?d been rumored to be behind the random acts of kindness.
