zhangm Supervisor Posted December 24, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted December 24, 2013 For flash files (I'm assuming these are in IE), right click, access settings, and disable hardware acceleration. For the rest of the operating system, try reverting to an earlier set of drivers. http://www.guru3d.com/files_categories/videocards_ati_catalyst_vista_win_7.html
Noir Angel
I run Avast and all my videos render fine in media centre. Try viewing in a desktop application.
bikeman25
Did a Windows 8.1 System Refresh finally, and solved it completely, before that tried different drivers, uninstall/reinstalled flash, finally got it fixed with a whole system refresh--exact cause unknown, was using Windows Defender off and on before, then Avast, then Defender, now sticking with Avast for good--no more switching, and changing and such Everything is functioning fine now, just left out Avast browser protection for the moment.. But I may put that back in, not sure yet...Still updating from the refresh yesterday
