MS Office/Word 2010 - editing the normal template?

I know there's a way but i forgot how to find it

 

Basically when you start a new document & you hit enter, it leaves a huge gap between lines. I want to set it so that by default it doesn't do this (who'd want to anyway?).

 

I had this set up before i formatted, but i can't remember how to. I've done a google search but what i've found doesn't work.

 

I thought i asked on here previously but can't find the thread.

 

So in short...how do you do it?

Edit and save your Normal.dotm file.
