I've played this months ago, it is pretty good.

With the updates, it gets new content or at least, there is something always to explore.

Haven't played that long to survive a lot of days tho....

Played it when it was in beta, many months ago (I genuinely don't remember when it was). Managed to survive ~30 days. The mistake I made was attacking that spider nest or whatever it was and the little man got killed. Well, lesson learned.

Liked it, but haven't played in quite a while. I'm sure it's even nicer with the updates.

Checked it out on the PS4 a few hours ago, and it is pretty damn awesome.

I cannot even imagine getting to 30 days, in my 3 play-throughs I got to 1, 2, and 3 days respectively, but it was very fun for sure. And actually my 3rd playthrough I made the mistake of attacking some Man Pig thing so maybe I would have gotten further.

Awesome little game, especially for free on PS+, and I really hope it gets a native Vita version. I would play the hell out of it on the Vita.

People are throwing Dark Souls and Spelunky around when discussing this, so I'm eagerly awaiting tomorrow (damn EU PSN updates coming on Wednesdays).

I think I'll enjoy this on remote play on the Vita. Seems like it would be a natural for it. I've lost countless hours to Spelunky in bed on Vita lol.

Remote play works great, the one and only issue is the text is very, very hard to read, so definitely play on a TV first if you can, as this way you know the basics before doing remote play.

I have to say I am reading the thread on NeoGaf about the game, and as much as I enjoyed playing it when I checked it out, I quickly realized this is not my type of game. LOL The ###### people have figured out is astounding, and I would never have the patience to discover all of that stuf, mainly because I do not have the time these days.

Just based on what I read of what is possible and playing the very little that I have, truly seems like a fantastic game.

Hello, Larry. I feel like I haven't seen you around for awhile :)

I died like 10+ times before 10 days had past  . You'll do that before you get a feel for everything. I'd say read a few guides online which can point you in the right direction about things you should do in the early days. It isn't a walkthrough or cheating in my book because you still have to actually survive. You still have to do with work and make choices about where to set-up camp and random stuff can happen which can kill you.

This is another quality game from PS+. I need to remember to go and activate it on my account for when I get around to getting my PS4.  :woot:

Good points. I will look up a guide then for sure. Like you said, the game is still randomly generated, so no harm in using a guide. (Y)

And yeah I took a few months off from here, just wasbothering me. It honestly annoys me to no end that one cannot subjectively criticize MS around here, or hell, even just criticize because of personal reasons, it should not matter, without someone getting their panties in a bunch and accusing you of being a PS fanboy, so I had to take a very long break. It does not appear to have gotten any better, but now I just do not care. Helps I put a whole lot of people on ignore LOL

Don't Starve: Giant Edition is coming to Vita

Klei is "working on the final steps" of the PS4 DLC.

By Jeffrey Matulef Published Friday, 6 June 2014

Klei Entertainment's gothic survivalist roguelike Don't Starve is coming to Vita along with its Reign of Giants expansion in Don't Starve: Giant Edition.

As such, you'll have 11 characters to choose from with seasonal challenges. Since this is being ported to Vita, Klei is adding touch-based control options for navigating menus, maps, items and crafting.

The developer noted on the PlayStation Blog that it's "working on the final steps" of bringing the Reign of Giants expansion to PS4.

Recently, Klei announced that it would be bringing multiplayer to Don't Starve as a free update.

Our expert contributor Dan Whitehead was rather fond of Don't Starve upon its PS4 release earlier this year, though he found it never quite recaptured the magic he felt from it in its opening hours. "While the game starts to falter in the long term, fans of hardcore roguelike adventures and uncompromising survival gameplay alike won't go hungry," he wrote in his Don't Starve review.
