Skyrim Graphics Mod

Recommended Posts

I would like to setup Skyrim to be maxed out in graphic updates.

I see a bunch of mods, I want to improve everything in the game, have it the best it can be. Anyone have tutorial on what ones I need, how to install them (I am using Steam version) etc?

I hope, you are using Legendary edition.

There are tons of Mod you have to use to make it Actual "Legendary" :D

1st Use Nexus Mod Manager along with "BOSS" which will take care of the Mods Order (its necessary)

Some of the essential Mods are (IMO)

-Unofficial Skyrim Patches

-Skyrim HD High Resolution Texture Mod (use 4K if you have lot of Graphic memory)

-SkyUI

-RealVision ENB

-ApachiiSkyHair (use full version)

-Climates Of Tamriel

-Calientes Beautiful Bodies Edition -CBBE

-Enhanced Blood Textures

-Convenient Horses

Well the list goes on & on...

you can check the Nexus Mod & choose whatever suits your taste.

Two essential utilities if your going to be installing multiple mods.

BOSS - It looks at your mods installed and attempts to set the load order

https://code.google.com/p/better-oblivion-sorting-software/

SKSE - Skyrim Script Ectendter

http://skse.silverlock.org/

SKSE is required for some mods, such as the SkyUI listed it above.

Essentially have steam running, then use the SKSE shortcut to launch the game instead of the normal shortcut.

Mods (Graphics Related) to consider

Static Mesh Improvement Part 1 & 2

2nd vote for Enhanced Blood

Better Embers

HD Plants + Herbs

Pure Waters

Bettery Dynamic Snow

Improved Interior Lighting

After doing some more research I came across this tutorial.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/?

Looks like its what you guys suggest, but has alot more to it, anyone ever use it?

Also, with all these mods, how powerful are these graphics? I have top of the line system, which includes a 780ti, and the only game so far that I have tried that seems to push it at all, is the new Tomb Raider, but it does play nice, but you can tell its getting pushed. Most other games run amazingly. Of course I have not tried the Metro games on this card yet. Anyway, just wondering where these mods come in with high end graphic games.

Thanks for the help.

Look through this guys videos for some hints and types on how to properly mod Skyrim. He also does videos for the fallout games. He's really well known within the Skyrim modding scene and has quite a few popular mods under his name too..

Some info may be obsolete though but most should still be relevant.

There is also this which is probably the most comprehensive skyrim "mod" you'll ever find

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11/?

It's really just a collection of mods that do all kinds of things that you can pick and choose and they give recommendations based on what you want to achieve. This is probably really all you need to be honest.

I never read any tutorial, but this seems fine to start with, if you never mod any game before.

as for as Graphics, your system is Super fine for Skyrim & you can really add all those Graphic Mods :)

Enjoy

I've never heard of BOSS.  Thanks for the tip (everyone who mentioned it)!

The only thing I might add is to keep track of your saves if you are going to tinker with addons.  Some addons can be uninstalled gracefully and not really affect a save game file, others will wreck it something fierce.

Most graphic improvements (like the one you are looking for) should be safe.

Whenever I'm itching to make a new Skyrim character, I go shopping for the mods I'm going to play with and figure out if I have any bugs with any of them (or combination of them).

I'd love to have a mod/character manager for Skyrim.  One that I could select a character, the manager would install the correct mods for that character and so on.  A character selection screen would be nice in-and-of-itself.

Following the tutorial I found I have successfully installed all, and followed it exactly, and the game ran and looks different.

But how do I know 100% that everything is actually loaded and working?
