Why is Ad-aware so popular? I saw a prevention video one time and it did HORRIBLE.

I think this is the best anti-virus:

Couple it with pretty much anything on the list and it works beautifully.

spybot - search & destroy    -     always have being doing great for me, with its immunization (don't forget to update at least once a month)

 

after that any free antivirus will do

 

 

though i got myself a paid ESET NOD32 -  it was on sale and i love it better then others, i also got mobile protection too. first time i paid for antivirus (since the time Norton was still not bulky crap)

I don't use antivirus, I only use the Windows Defender that is built in Windows 8.1 and works like charm. Don't need anything else.

Just kidding, I use Windows Defender. (Built-in to Windows 8) :)
