New topic because it looks like this US military spaceplane program has staying power beyond the recent X-37B test flights.

This also makes me think the proposed X-37C (larger, optionally crewed) is becoming more likely, hence no letter 'B' in the title..

So nobody know what these are for. very interesting, but I wish they would work on a Single stage to orbit.

X-37C would carry people, estatimates run 3-8, and many of the specs sound a lot like the X-38 (cancelled ISS lifeboat) or Dream Chaser (a 30' long evolution of NASA's HL-20) but with a cargo bay and about 18 feet longer.

There was a "big brother" to the HL-20 named the HL-42 that sounds close bit would need upscaling to get to the rumored 48' length of X-37C. Since it's essentially a bigger Dream Chaser a lot of Sierra Nevada's work on it may be applicable.
