wifi cards, which one?

Recommended Posts

For laptop configuration: I have 3 options:

  • Internal 802.11 B+G+N Wireless LAN + Bluetooth Combo Module   +CA$0.00
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless -AC 7260 AC + BT Combo Card Module   +CA$38.33
  • Killer? Wireless-N 1202 802.11 A/B/G/N Wireless LAN + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Module   +CA$54.75

Which one should I go for? I currently don't utilize AC connections, btw.

Depends, if all you are going to do is general computing, some web browsing etc... then stick to the internal one

I used to play WoW on an old Clevo D9T had no lag issues using the internal adapter

If you need serious bandwidth (then maybe a desktop compuer might be more productive for you) then the intel dual band would be beneficial, my 2 cents :)

  •
  • Intel Single Band Wireless 7260BN with Bluetooth 4.0
  • ThinkPad Wireless 2 x 2 BGN with Bluetooth[$0.00]
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless 7260AC with Bluetooth 4.0[add $30.00]

Depends on what you need

but to add a vote, I'll vote Thinkpad Wireless 2 x 2

(In my heart, I honestly don't believe you're going to NEED AC connectivity, unless you need that sort of bandwidth, and if you do, then the 7260's for you)

Hello,

I would go with the 7260 unit, simply for future proofing the laptop computer.
