Elliot B.
My dad, who isn't into technology much, has already been on a website on my Tab 2 that tried to download an APK to the device (got to love Android). It's only a mmatter of time before he opens one. How can I disable downloadable files on the device? Android 4.4, Chrome as main browser
The Evil Overlord
I think it's under security, or device administrators... also wouldn't an apk without an installer just sit there?
+Fahim S. MVC Posted January 6, 2014 MVC Share Posted January 6, 2014 I don't think there is much that you can do besides disable the execution of APKs. I think you'll find that option in the developer section of the settings app. Although I know that the Tab 2 has Samsung'ed version of this. Elliot B.
I'll look into disallowing APK installations - cheers, guys :)
Nashy
Installation from an unknown source is disallowed by default. Anibal P 1 Share
Nick H. Supervisor Posted January 6, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted January 6, 2014 Make sure that is unchecked and you shouldn't have an issue. You can find it under Settings > Security. Anibal P, Nashy and ]SK[ 3 Share
