+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted January 6, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted January 6, 2014 For the past few days now, my screensaver will not turn on, but sometimes it will. I am using DisplayFusion to control the screensaver. I checked all settings, checked there forums no known issues. I checked to see all new apps installed, nothing is blocking it. I checked all power settings for Windows 8.1, everything is set as it should, meaning my screens are not set to turn off or sleep at all, let alone before the screensaver comes on. The screensaver can be turned on (displayfusion feature) or be previewed without issue, meaning its not a driver issue. With all of this, once in awhile, it will turn on. Which would indicate its an app or service causing this, I checked all non-regular apps and with them turned off, still happens. Not sure what else to try? I changed turn off display from never to 1 min. And it never turned off as well. So it's not just the screensaver. Something is blocking power management. The screensaver appears to work on a fresh startup, only my main apps are running at that time. So it's still some service or something in the background that loads shortly after.
