It's 2014 not 2009...It's only $150 more than the other option, and if you plan to keep this laptop in the long run, it's worth it. At work we use Dell Latitude with 14" display at 1600x900. It's not nearly as sharp as I want it to be. I'm just used to 1080p displays from my TV, to my computer monitor at home, to my smartphone.
