Elliot B.
Do they allow free hand luggage (a small backpack for the overhead compartment) like EasyJet do?
Zumiiiiii
Yes they do. But their size allowance is smaller than any one else. 55 x 40 x 20 cms
ZakO
One cabin bag per passenger* weighing up to 10kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 cms. Due to cabin space limitations only 90 cabin bags (55 x 40 x 20 cms) can be carried in the cabin, any remainder will be carried free of charge in the aircraft hold. http://www.ryanair.com/en/terms-and-conditions#regulations-cabinbaggage
Nick H. Supervisor Posted January 8, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted January 8, 2014 I flew with them a couple of years ago. It was the first time, and it will be the only time. MikeChipshop 1 Share
SnoopZ
These are the correct size limits, there is also a weight limit of 10kgs. One cabin bag per passenger* weighing up to 10kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 cms. http://www.ryanair.com/en/terms-and-conditions#regulations-cabinbaggage
Soldiers33
I flew with the last year, and I will try avoid them when ever I can. I prefer easyjet, there is much less control. I heard with ryanair if even a wheel or something sticks out from the box they will make you pay.

watkinsx2
I've never had any issues with Ryanair. Only times I was delayed was in heavy fog Prague. The biggest thing I like about Ryanair is that their aircraft are all modern 737-800's. When I flew with them their average fleet age was under 3 years old. Compared to when I flew with BMI their 737-200's looked like they were ready to be scrapped. To be fair I don't think I ever paid more than ?50 quid for a return flight to the Czech Republic with them and my best was 2 people and a suitcase from Prage to Birmingham for ?16. watkinsx2
Ever tried Wizzair? usually fly with them from sweden to hungary, cheap as well, and pretty alright in general....and very pretty personnel. Funnily enough I have, when I wrote my previous post I'd actually written this whole thing about how I preferred Wizzair because of the planes they used, service etc but figured it was getting off topic. I would recommend Wizzair over Ryanair. Cant beat purple planes!
