Software for Creating a Video, with Video but Mainly Pictures

Question

I'm not really a video creator but here's what we want to do.

A video (or power point presentation) with a 5 minute music track playing.  In the video will be a selection of pictures but at two points, two different videos will need to play (with no sound).

I am thinking Windows Movie Maker will allow this to happen fairly easily?

Or would Power Point be better for control?

Thanks

You can do this with ease using Windows Movie Maker:

  1. Simply add your photos to the timeline, and select the duration you wish each to be shown for.
  2. If you want you can apply transitions to each photo too.
  3. When it comes to the point you want the video to be played at simply drag that on to the timeline too and it will play, mute the sound for the video clip if you wish.
  4. Finally drag your audio track and ensure it plays for the total length of the movie. (you can add the track again if you need it to loop)
  5. Encode your video and your done.

I can't see it been much of an issue to complete this task in movie maker at all, i've used Movie Maker for a few videos at work and had some professional looking results for a simple movie editor.
