I actually tried with that tool. Changed the title there and hit "Start muxing" at the bottom. Problem is that file size changed.......substantially. Thats the only thing I touched.
And how are you trying to do this exactly? You can use MKVToolnix under global

OK, I wont give it much thought.
I wouldn't worry about it too much - did the file play fine? Did it get bigger or smaller.
I don't normally worry about the title too much, stuff I rip with makemkv normally has right title, etc. But for a test I just edited 1 and it shrunk by 1MB, which I would think is a good thing
