Windows Mail Crash On Some Messages - Win 7

Question

Hello. A customer of mine purchased a laptop from me a few months back with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

For years he was on XP Pro and used Outlook Express for very long. Windows Mail was a natural step I felt for him since it was the new version of OE you can say.

Anyways I know Windows Mail came with Vista and it requires a hack for Windows 7 which MS does not support. I installed it for him and it worked from the start and was easy to learn and use.

Unfortunately in the last 3 weeks he has started to have a problem where on some messages he receives say from groupon.com when he opens it, it causes the whole app to crash. On other messages it does not happen. I have not seen this before and the messages do not contain an attachment nor are they from a malicious source.

Some things I read online show that some people say the program is unstable, etc..

Below I have attached the app crash message I get.

Anyone come across this before and found a fix?

Thanks

I was thinking about that but for this person change can be hard. Can Live Mail be made to look like Windows Mail?

Also can that be installed alone and not all the other live programs. I have never found a way to install one of the Live programs by themselves.

If they're happy with the crashing, then don't change it. :p

The installer comes with check boxes for what components you want to install. I know that some are dependent on others, but I believe that Mail can be selected alone.

Is Windows Live Mail actually much different UI wise from Windows mail? I thought they were basically the same thing for the most part.
