Local resident Todd Fox has been detained for ?reckless endangerment? and ?illegal use of high-powered fire-breathing weaponry? for attacking snow with his flamethrower. Fox reportedly became so fed up with the week-long blowing snow epidemic in his area that he decided to KILL IT WITH FIRE. The neighborhood was treated with quite a show last night as Fox unleashed an inferno upon the mountainous snow palace that was his front yard. Neighbors to his immediate right and left noticed a bright orange cloud and could hear what they thought was ?puff the magic dragon spewing mayhem all over hell,? which prompted one of them to notify police. Fox stated that he was simply ?fed up with battling the elements? and that he did not possess the willpower necessary to move ?four billion tons of white bull ****.? Police say that Fox surrendered his efforts immediately upon their arrival and that his front yard ?looked like a hydrogen bomb had gone off.? McKay Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 One of the fighter squadrons here 2 years ago got in deep trouble when to clear snow from one of the HAZ's they towed a jet out, it gunned the engine and span in circles. Figured out they wasted ten's of thousands of pounds. Of course this is one of those stories we're told not to tell, lest a newspaper like The Sun get ahold of it and have a field day. They did before when a reporter heard a technician blabbing about how the Air Force was paying ?60 for 20W lightbulbs to put on the obstruction lamp of a radar, and these bulbs were literally no different from the ones you'd get in B&Q. But we have to use the contracted parts etc, and thats what the company who supplies them charges. I've seen us get charged ?200 for a standard keyboard with a serial connector before. DocM Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Mine too :ninja: And ND isn't the only place they're used foe clearing brush etc. I have a small one for clearing long grass & weeds from fence lines and a backpack mounted propane unit for clearing weeds from driveway & sidewalk. cracks. The propane unit can throw an 8 foot flame and melt snow/ice from steps.
