Hello,

In my birthday thread (please dont be ###### and congrad me here just because the screenshot is of my birthday thread; I HATE hypocrisy like that.) I noticed that the like button does not appear on Firefox 26 and does in IE9 on Windows 7.

I cannot confirm if this is pre or post the latest update.

Hello,

Again, I'm on 26.0 and I don't have an issue. Have you done the usual steps, clearing the browser cache and so on?

Yup....must be on my side then.

Thank you for trying it out.

How do you know that it is an addon causing issues?

Although if you do believe that is the case, I would suggest disabling everything, then enabling the extensions one by one to find out which one is causing the problem.

Well what else could it be?

or check what addons you have installed since you last knew it was working :)

Sadly, I have no idea.

Try disabling the extension which shall not be named to see if it makes a difference.

I doubt it is being detected as a ad...

Hello,

Do what Nick Suggested

disable all extensions and re-enable them one at a time to check where the issue is

I have no idea. But looking at those extensions I don't see anything out of the ordinary, or anything that would be responsible. Anyway, disable everything and start adding them back in one by one to be sure. Or like Haggis suggested, disable them from newest installation/update to oldest.

Hello,

Yup. Indeed it was that. I think since Neowin doesnt support it (within its right of course, I completely understand) there is some code that breaks it on purpose:

<div id="rep_post_596213465" class="ipsLikeBar left clearfix" style="margin: 8px 0 -8px;">
<ul class="ipsList_inline">
<li>
<a class="ipsLikeButton ipsLikeButton_enabled rep_up" title="Like this item" href="https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=reputation&do=add_rating&app_rate=forums&type=pid&type_id=596213465&rating=1&secure_key=a22a039ef12eb873c60136f56f3391b0&post_return=596213465">Like This</a>
</li>
Thats the code for the like button. Firebugging it, it says it is disabled (greyed out) and I cant enable it.

Thank you for giving me the idea of looking at the code.
