Top Qat
No one else seems to have noted the latest version of UMS so I thought I would do it. I normally use Twonky but thought I would try something different. Had no issues with the setup. Does what it's supposed to do without any problems. One plus point is that it can do on the fly format conversion so I can now watch video files that my TV doesn't normally like. Not bad for a free product! 0 +Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 13, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted January 13, 2014 It's essential for a PS3, discussion topic here - https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/614188-how-can-i-play-my-hd-content-on-my-ps3-mkv/page-72 Builds 3.3.1 and 3.4.0, neither publically released yet have a way to bypass cinavia, I posted a build for 3.4.0 in the topic above. 0 ]SK[
I've been using plex. Works well enough. Not sure on cinavia. The only crap thing is when trying to fast forward/rewind it's mega slow.

0 LittleNeutrino Veteran Posted January 29, 2014 Veteran Share Posted January 29, 2014 i had been using this for a long time however, i recently switched to Plex player and i prefer the server side configuration and settings for it better. not to mention it can find additional information about the media that you are playing rather than just throwing the information out there to be streamed. Also the server is still free they just charge for the mobile apps. (no purchase is required however, if you just want to stream from a computer to your PS3,4 or Vita)
0 max22
It is easy to get around Cinavia. There is a solution online that takes less than 5 mins. That way I can play my .mkv Blu Ray rips to the tv in the living room.
