Dinggus
I have a late 2009 iMac 27", which I upgraded the RAM to 16GB. I'm running VMWare with Windows 8, and playing America's Army 2.5 that way. It's an older game, I believe it came out sometime in 2005. Only reason it's so popular still is because it's the last version that supported Windows, Mac and Linux. But, it used Power PC. So, I'm debating, should I get a cheap laptop that would run it or should I install Windows 8 via Boot Camp? Mac Requirements (All that I can find):G4 @ 1.25 MHz or better GeForce4 or Radeon 7500 or better PC Minimum Requirements: 128MB memory video card 2.4GHZ Windows XP 512MB RAM 56k+ modem PC Recommended Requirements: 256MB memory video card 3.0GHZ Windows XP 1GB RAM I'm going to say smart move would just be to install Windows 8 via Boot Camp. I wouldn't do anything on Windows 8 besides play the game.
Nick H. Supervisor Posted January 17, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted January 17, 2014 If you have an installation disk for Windows 8, why not create a bootcamp partition and give it a go? It won't cost you any money to try that way, and if it doesn't work you will have your answer. ;)
