Interestingly enough a lot of people share the same opinion on the W218. I sat in one at the dealership early last year however I didn't test drive that model. What was your gripe with the W218? Sedan, LX. Nice car, but lacked power. So, I decided to step up from 117 hp to 507 hp :laugh: Don't get me wrong, the W218 is nice, but I think the W219 is much more classy and understated. It is after all the design that started a whole new segment of cars - from the Audi A7 (and S7/RS7), to the BMW 6GC, to the VW CC, etc. Side by side, the W219 looks just far better imo. CLS500 uses a gasoline engine not sure what gasoil is. I learned from my parents when they bought their cars they had an E320, and 430, their cars depreciated ridiculously. Your badge says CLS 500, I thought those have about 300 hp? Either way, plenty of power! Here in the US, the CLS 500 was only available in 2006, as was the CLS 55 AMG (supercharged v8). He's Dead Jim Posted January 23, 2014 Share Posted January 23, 2014 I like the Mercs, when I was a BM tech in the 70s, quite a few of our service customers brought their Mercedes cars in for oli changes, but in the 90s a close relative of mine had a SL 60 AMG, I'm sure it was that one, a 7 litre V12, and wow, I went off to collect it for him from a dealer in middle England, and drove it home, unbelievable acceleration, and the road between Newcastle and Edinburgh being particularly interesting, Wow, the corners come up fast... :) Hope you enjoy your CLS, really lovely :rolleyes: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ah thanks for the clarification, I was actually stumped if I had read the wiki wrong. But 307 is definitely a number I can live with. What kind of headlight cleaners would you recommend applying? What kind of headlight cleaners would you recommend applying? The CLS headlights can get foggy. I never did take care of mine - I didn't they were that bad.
