Lord Method Man
The UEFI for the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 has an "OS Type" option with the options "Windows 8" and "Other," though there's no mention of secure boot. Is that what this setting does? The documentation, as usual, sucks.
snaphat (Myles Landwehr) Member Posted January 23, 2014 Member Share Posted January 23, 2014 No, but switching it to "Windows 8" mode would enable an option to let enable an options to let you switch secure boot on/off if your board supports it from what I gather. As far as I can tell it doesn't. And that option is probably not doing anything other than letting you to enable/disable CSM support (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface#CSM_booting)
