Active Directory Attribute Permissons

Been a while since I posted but hope help Neowin could end my woes :)

 

I have added macs to our AD and am having some troubles. In brief, I don't get home folder redirection. Anyway, the problem seems to lie on the windows side and Apple support has asked me to do:

Server is 2008R2 (SP1). Hopefully not too light on details, am trying to be brief

Found somewhat of a quick fix if someone else encounters the problem.

 

Waited till there were no users on and added them to the Domain Admins Group.

Went to the ADSI Edit - Update Schema Now.

Gave it some time (not sure how long).

 

The missing (homefolder etc.) attributes were written to the user accounts and I got folder redirection.

Then of course removed everyone from the Domain Admin group.

 

All works perfect now. Just need to figure out where the problem is...
