Older XBox 360 and newer XBox 360 Question

Recommended Posts

I have an older xbox 360 with some Assassins Creed 2 progress played on it. Can I bring that progress over to a newer xbox 360? Is that information stored off the hard drive or is it on the hard drive?

Mine is the older one with the optical output built into the cable connector. I want to connect mine to my computer monitor with 5.1 surround sound available still. I can't find a VGA cable with the optical output built into it. SO I figured I could borrow my bro-in-law's newer 360, which has the optical built into the console instead of the wire. However....I don't want to lose my progress from Assassin's creed 2 that I played on my console.

What can I do?

You can copy your gamesave progress to a USB flashdrive or to the Cloud (I believe this requires a Gold subscription). Then you can copy it back over on your new system. This can be done from the System Settings under Manage Storage.
