thejessman Posted January 28, 2014 Share Posted January 28, 2014 I'm using my TV as a monitor for my PC and it just isn't working right, it never really has. I've been running a resolution of 1768 x 992 (not the ideal 1920x1080) because when I set it to 1920x1080, the edges of the screen are cut off. If i go into my TV settings and ask to scale to fit, it seems to lower the quality (it's especially noticable in the text, it's not as bold and it's annoying on the eyes). I have noticed this problem happens with all resolutions that a progressive scan, but none that are interlaced. When I game, I change my settings to 1080p and screen fit it because the games won't run on interlaced. My PC is somewhat dated, I have a Geforce 9800 GTX+ video card. My TV is a Samsung 40' that's probably four years old. Any ideas guys? I've considered buying a new DVI to HDMI cord, think that would be helpful possibly? Thanks for your time.
