On your OWN machine(s), do you use Automatic Updates?

As for me, no.  I install all of them when I reinstall Windows and then I turn them off and manually do them every few months or so.  I hate being bothered with random restarts for updates.

Poll is a little invalid.

Windows tells me when there are updates but I choose when to download/install them.

Yes, I use automatic update on my own machines. Work is a different matter of course.

Yes, you would be stupid not to have this feature enabled.

No, but I certainly wouldn't wait a few months between updates either.   I just run through the updates manually every patch Tuesday after a system image, just in case.  Wife and daughter's machines are automatic so I don't forget theirs.

On my main workstation I manually install them. I don't want my computer to automatically restart itself. On all my other computers they are automatic

Check for updates and notify, don't automatically download or install.
