Google Now

1. I know you can set up a reminder by saying ok google. but is there a word/sentence that you can say in order to fix that reminder by command? i know how to do it manually, but can you do it with ok google?

2. is there a way to get an alert reminding you when you should leave from your work other than making a reminder/event?

I'm not sure I understand either question. For the first one, you want a voice command to set a reminder? "Ok Google, remind me...at <time X>" should do that. Or do you want to manually type in a reminder?

For the second question, why would you not use the reminder command to set a reminder? I don't understand what the purpose would be.

EDIT: To enter a reminder without using a voice command, look for the following button:

Seems to set a reminder for me, although since I don't use Google Now all that often it may not be exactly what you're looking for.

for the first question, yeah i know you can set that up. my question was suppose you want to fix the reminder. can you say the command rather than manually editing/modifying it?

for the second question, i wanted to get a daily alert saying when the time is up for work rather than actually setting a reminder? or do you set up a daily reminder?

or at least can you say a command to bring up the reminder rather than making a reminder? so if it has the ability to bring up the reminder at least i can see all of my reminders

Oh, "to fix" as in "to edit!" Ok, I understand now.

I can't find any kind of edit voice command for Google Now, so for the moment I would say that it isn't possible.

For your second question, I don't really use Google Now because I find talking to my device to be silly, and I also don't set a daily reminder to remind me to go home; I look at my watch to get that information. ;) However, I do have an alarm clock that goes off from Monday to Friday at 0730. Why not set an alarm?

Again, since I don't really use Google Now, perhaps someone else can be more help?

lol yeah i do the same as you do, but i found one of the coworkers getting a buzz every time he needs to go home. i wondered how he did it :(

and i've just tried to set up a reminder for next week, and for a particular location, but here's the problem i have just encountered

when i said to remind me an even next week of particular day, it instead scheduled for this week

and when i said remind me to go to this particular place, it wrote the memo, but did not set up the location.

any ideas? :(

Are you sure that he is using Google Now to do that? I could think of a couple of ways that I would set this up, none of which involve Google Now. I would either set an alarm, use the calendar application to set a recurring event, or even try and create a profile in Tasker (although I was just looking through Tasker and it would possibly require a script of some sort).

That's probably to do with how you phrased it. While it's ability to understand is pretty nifty, it's not perfect. If it were me and I had an event next Wednesday to attend, I would probably say, "ok Google, remind me about <Event X> on the 5th February 2014" just to be sure that there was no misinterpretation.

and when i said remind me to go to this particular place, it wrote the memo, but did not set up the location.

I'm not overly sure on how the location idea works. Does the address need to be exact? Again, this could be down to phrasing, or GPS services being turned off, mobile data connection loss...well, there are several possibilities as to why it might not have worked correctly.
