I hope there's some DLNA love in there.

Add UI themes and I'll be in PS4 heaven :)

I don't think we'll see DLNA until at least the summer, these things need a lot of testing and implementing...

I was hoping it would show up on their site for download before I went to bed, but its not, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow night to get it loaded and try things out.  Hope to hear some detailed reports from you guys before then

I think it will just be the pulse update, I don't think Sony would add anything more apart from the usual 'system stability'.

So when is HDCP getting removed? No idea why Sony launched with it if they were just going to remove it a few months afterwards.

Yep.. two features I don't use.  Don't own a headset.. and after checking the retail on them.. won't own.  Also don't watch DVD's anymore.. all digital.

I know there's a rumour that the rest of the features are coming in an update on the 22nd but it seems crazy that they would release what i assume would be a fairly large firmware update on the day that the PS4 is released in Japan.

The update for the 22nd was released about 2 hours ago. (1.6)
There is no big features included, and I can't see there being another 'big' update this month.
All in all - a pretty useless Firmware update really.

Man, that is disappointing.  GotBored had me excited at the possibilities, but this is very anticlimactic.

Well at least it adds the headset support that some here were waiting for, so that's good.

Now to wait for the next update.

Here I was about be excited for sony and get mad at ms for not updating as fast as sony.  Both seem to be slow at getting the most wanted updates out.

well to be fair to both, software changes can take some time, especially when your talking about adding brand new features. They were rushed out to begin with anyway.

I personally did not expect both the One and the PS4 to be "finalised" before the end of 2014.

That's why i'm waiting before buying a next gen console ;)

I agree I did not really expect any big patches for a few more months.  Really for my ps4 I just want external hdd support and dlna.  For xo i just want the party system working a lot better and kinect voice commands improvement.

Glad I can use my Pulse headset with it but WTF? I'm getting "This service is not available in your country/region" when I try to go to the store...  :/
