ultimate99
I just got an i7 4700MQ and Nvidia 730M 1Gb laptop, wondered what FPS could run smoothly other than BF4?
Astra.Xtreme
Unfortunately the 730M isn't very powerful, so you probably won't get amazing results. It'll probably play any game you throw at it, but on low settings.

HawkMan
I just got an i7 4700MQ and Nvidia 730M 1Gb laptop, wondered what FPS could run smoothly other than BF4?Drop the i7 and get an i5 and spend the money on a GPU instead. If it's a gaming computer there absolutely no need for an i7. No game today or in the near future will come close to maxing or needing anything more than a i5 anyway. i7s are for workstations and render stations that rely on heavy CPU calculations that take hours or days, where even a quick preview render takes minutes and need to be as fast as possible as you work with it. Never mind, just noticed you already got the hardware and it wasn't a pre-buy question. Also so what a different story with the mobile CPUs but still for gaming that GPU will be the bottleneck anyway.

Sandor
I just got an i7 4700MQ and Nvidia 730M 1Gb laptop, wondered what FPS could run smoothly other than BF4? Nothing recent I'd imagine. Gaming on a laptop is a strange idea any way. CS:GO perhaps?
HawkMan
my i5 and GF640 laptop is perfectly fine for gaming, some games I can play at decently high settings some newer ones I have to turn down. But even though this isn't a gamign laptop unlike my old Toshiba Qosmio, it's a perfectly serviceable gaming machine. a gamign laptop like the Qosmio however, is a great gaming device. they're fast and they're well and solidly built and usually has a big wedge shape with 2 big fans giving effective and silent cooling. even at the most intensive games that one never gave out hot air. And even today epsite it's age with a C2D cpu and a GF 7800 GPU it's a capable gaming machine.
ultimate99
I'm not originally into gaming, however, since I have this so why not try a few FPS's. I tried BF4 on this and on HD4000, so big difference for me! :D
ultimate99
how about COD: Ghost?
HawkMan
all the CoD games since MW use mostly the same engine with modifications so it should run, maybe not at the highest settings but it should run.
