SoCalRox
Over the last few weeks, I have been consistently getting low space warnings. I have deleted a number of apps, music, voice mails, but it keeps coming back. I have no idea what is building up to cause this. I don't find anything when I look for things. Any suggestions as to where I should look? My phone is stock, by the way. I have deleted a bunch of stuff. Made ZERO difference just now. Caches are empty, but it doesn't matter. All the stuff I remove seems to make no difference. Thanks for any ideas. Again, to be clear- NOT rooted.
rageagainstmachine
best place to got would be settings, storage, and peruse there for any unwanted bloat. SoCalRox 1 Share
SoCalRox
Thanks, Rage. It says 4.04 GB under OTHER but I don't know what that includes. I have no movable apps, and the only option is uninstall. I uninstalled a lot a week or so ago, and it filled up again quickly. How can I clean out "OTHER"? I've emptied caches. rageagainstmachine
mine is called "misc" in kitkat, pressume same thing. if you click on it, it should show you whats in there, then you could just tick each one, and say delete?
SoCalRox
Tapping OTHER leads nowhere. :(
i_was_here
I don't know if you solved this yet but you can use a program like SD Maid to check what folder/items are using the most space. Just install it (the free version is fine), open the sidebar, and click on "Biggest".
+Cryton Subscriber² Posted February 12, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted February 12, 2014 Sounds like you need to sniff your space with space sniffer http://www.uderzo.it/main_products/space_sniffer/
Jason S. Global Moderator Posted February 12, 2014 Global Moderator Share Posted February 12, 2014 i'd also suggest connecting your phone to a computer and checking each folder's consumed space. perhaps that'll lead you somewhere.
