Exchange 2003 to 2010 swing migration

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

Been a while since I've done an exchange 2003 to 2010 migration and I just have some questions to ask as a refresher for the user migration which is planned to be in a break down of user groups that will get done per weekend. Instead of a wham bam thank you........

Anyway so to my questions

  1. Any possible shared calendar access issues between users that may be in 2003 server vs users that have been migrated to newly built 2010?
  2. Similar to the above, would there be any issues with delegation access between users that may reside in the two environments during the transition?

Users will be on Outlook 2007 and above. Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Both of those I would think you could find on Google :p

I don't recall any public folders calendars having issues when my company migrated. Shared calendars should be fine I think because the 2010 server will take over as the client access server for ALL clients regardless of what server the mailboxes are on.. That should handle requests between the two Exchange systems. Delegation the same, but it anything may be broken during migrations until it's all on the other side again.

Maybe someone else will know better ^^
