I like how people immediately come in and throw religion under the bus for no apparent reason.

Looks like a random shape to me. Humans were not around 800,000 years ago.

I did not know foot prints can be formed in rocks.

Obviously the rock wasn't always a rock.

This. How ironic that some time ago there was a thread about why all religious people hate atheists when it looks like atheists would go pick any reason to start a debate. Its just a friggin footprint lol, I didn't see any religious connotation to it, you did! No reason to get all defensive, unless you feel this is threatening your belief.

I think it's mostly due to the Creationists and their 6-10,000 year old Earth ideas...

Wrong :p The Homo genus is thought to be around 1.8 to 2.5 million years old, they would still be classed as "human" since Homo = Human.

If you mean humans like modern man then obviously no, but our distant relatives were.
