Best in ear headphones for phone

Recommended Posts

I have the Klipsch S4i and really like them.

From the reviews I've seen, those are pretty much as good as it gets in the $100 and under price range.

You do need to break them in a bit, so don't expect to be amazed right away.

Klipsch S4i is nice, however the reliability is damn poor. I would avoid if possible. I went through 2 sets in less than 8 months.

Thanks. I keep hearing that a lot about in ear headphones.

Etymotic looked good but couldn't get pass all the people saying how delicate they were.

Delicate?

I've beat my MC5 and ER4PTs to hell.. Heck the MC5 even went in the washing machine by mistake and still work like a charm

They go give I think 2 year warranty on the higher end ones.

Thanks but isn't the ER4 only for a iphone and ipad ? That is what I hate. At least the volume control is. :(

lolwut, no. They have iDevice versions,  like  the ER6i  and HF2. The ER4s are pure IEMs, so is the MC5 and HF5

How's cable noise on all these? It's one single thing that keeps me away from most in-ears. I've been passively looking for a pair with flat cable, too. Of course, they'd tangle themselves into ten impossible knots while I'm asleep anyway, but it's the new cool, right? :D

Microphonics is bad in any IEM, the best way to tackle this is to wear them over the ear or use a shirt clip. I use a shirt clip.

That I'm not sure of.  I have all Apple products.  So it does control my iMac, iPhone and iPad flawless.

I saw a review on ZDNet where it was tested with a Note3 but not all the functions worked.

I primarily use an Android device and the remote worked well with Google Play Music to control play/pause, skip forward, and skip back. However, it did not control the volume on the Note 3 I tested. Pressing and holding the center button launched S Voice on the Note 3, but you still have to press the mic button on the display to activate S Voice functionality. I understand it is optimized to control Siri on iOS devices.
