LaP
I just started Skype for Windows 8 RT. Skype RT asked me to merge my Skype account to my Windows account. Great now I lost all my Skype contacts. And I even gained a contact I never had before. Bigboo66. Great I doesn't even know this guy. 2 questions. 1. How to a ******* get all my contact back? 2. How to a ******* delete bigboo66 from my contact in Skype RT. The UI is so intuitive ... /sarcasm God I can't believe it. So angry right now. Can I just install Skype for desktop and get all my contacts back?
gohpep
The toolbar is very helpful. Swipe up or right click to open it.
Dot Matrix
Your Skype contacts will still be there. You merged accounts. If not, sign back out, then sign in with your old Skype ID. To delete a contact, simply click the profile, then swipe up, then click delete.
LaP
Yeah I figured out how to delete the contact. Still not able to get my contacts back though. Tried to log out and log back in without success. I can't sign with my old Skype is this is the same ID I just merged it with my Windows account. It's still the same ID. What is strange is my friend now see me twice in his Skype. He see my "old" account offline and my new merged account online. Both have the same Skype user name (ID). So he see the same ID twice one time offline and one time online. On my end I don't see anybody. I'll install Skype for desktop to see if it brings my contact back. I hope I had something like 30 contacts. If it doesn't work I guess i'll try to contact Skype support.
Ian S.
Are you actually using an RT device? Are you blaming it on RT or the Skype team that makes the Skype app. It isn't "Skype for Windows RT/Skype RT" It is the Skype App, and it works just as well as the iPad app.
