The good thing about WP is that you can uninstall any software the OEM or carrier puts on the phone.

which is probably why most carriers in the USA at least hate windows phone, they can't force their junk on you  :rofl:

 

the only reason they like iphone is because it's so popular...

Probably but in many places where WP share is higher the carriers aren't as restrictive like in the US, this could be why WP is in the double digits in Europe and only 4% in the US.

Verizon here is notorious for forcing you to use their version of everything...... want a payment system like googles wallet one? ooh too bad we don't support it, here use ours!

To cap it off they should prompt users with a services notification (like when an app tries to access location)

 

This app would like you to trust Microsoft, press yes to continue or cancel
