techbeck Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Decided to fool around with CM11 KK on my old T-Mobile Vibrant (Samsung Galaxy S1) to see how it performs. Problem is, I have an old recovery and cannot seem to find the latest CWM that will install. I downloaded the ZIP here but the current recovery will not flash. https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager ROM Manager doesnt seem to want to update the recovery for some reason. Anyway to manually update the recovery with the ZIP I DLed above? CM Installer says unsupported device even tho I DLed the ROM from CMs site. So wanted to do a manual install and I can do so if I can update CWM recovery. If you want to run kk on the vibrant then use the vibrant aio tool:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509. If you're on android 2.1 or 2.2, flash to 2.3 gingerbread, from 2.3 you flash to 4.3.1 jellybean. After flashing to 4.3.1 you can easily flash to kk. I currently have a vibrant running kk 4.4.2 (C-Rom which is ported from the I9000 threads on xda). If you have any questions feel free to ask. I am already on 4.0.4 JB. Try using Recovery Tools - Flasher from the Play Store. Doesnt appear to be working. Thanks for the suggestion tho. WIll keep it in mind if I have any more problems. I did apply the kernel tho. Setting up everything now. So far, so good. Saw it earlier. Just settings up everything and performing backups before I do much else. So far so good. It was running a JB build but updated to KK for better performance.
