1) no not really

2) no pointless feature to be honest

3) NA since its a pointless feature be it had 5,10,100

4) Its a browser, storing images of sites or just links I visit on some start page is a useless feature

5) it already has that feature - and can change whatever engine I want to use with simple key, add or delete them, etc.

  • I liked Opera when I had it installed on my Windows 98 Second Edition computer . . . It had better support for web standards than Internet Explorer 6 and offered valuable features, such as tabbed browsing.
  • No. Similar features exist in other web browsers, such as Internet Explorer.
  • See answer #2.
  • See answer #2.
  • No. Opera is incompatible with a number of websites (at least in my experience) and doesn't currently offer functionality that would justify its use.

Hi,

I am conducting a small and personal survey about Opera, I ask you one minutes of your precious time to answer this short questionnaire of 5 questions:

1) Do you like Opera? It have satisfied you?

I like it better than IE and it is faster than Firefox (otherwise I'd use Firefox).

2) Do you think interesting the functionality of Opera that you can set 10 favorite websites as your homepage?

Don't care for it

3) Are you satisfied with 10 Favorite sites or want more favorite sites?

Don't care for it

4) The functionality to create your homepage with your favourite sites is the main functionality for you for connect you quickly on your sites or you prefer to use this functionality Opera as an option "Favorites" only with the addition of the screenshots of the sites?

Don't care for it. Again. I do use the Speed dial.

5) Would you be interested if Opera had a function in more? A search engine with which you can search new websites through keywords as: information, economy, news, etc. ?

Thanks for your cooperation

I would be interested for Opera to get some basics back, such as "Image properties". I can pick a search engine I like myself.

The main reason I use Opera is because it doesn't spy on my every move unlike Chrome (which is otherwise a better browser IMHO), it's fast unlike FireFox (alas, it is one fat fox by now) and IE is still unimpressive (but improving).

umm it already supports more than 10 sites on the speed dial. I can have at least 15 on my non full hd monitor

Well it's at least as compatible as chrome today. though I liked the old engine.

no.

webkit/blink isn't what makes the new version a redundant browser, lack of features/customization does.

1) Nope, only feature I used it for was Opera Unite, but that service was discontinued, so now Opera is pretty much useless to me.

2) Other browsers have it and I never use it.

3) No.

4) See answer two.

5) No.

1. I used to like Opera, as someone else put it, it was great back in the windows 98 days.

2. Nope, could care less.

3. I just want a bookmark bar, nothing more.

4. huh?

5. As long as I can have google set as my default search, I can handle the rest when it comes to content.

Get off the webkit bandwagon.

1) I like it more in its Blink incarnation. Mainly because I no longer worry about a significant number of the sites I visit misbehaving due to Presto. Personally I prefer it over the desktop version of Chrome.

2) Speed Dial's implementation in Opera is still the best. With the exception of Safari since I don't have a Mac, other browsers either have clunky implementations through extensions, don't let you add sites yourself, perform poorly, etc.

3) Irrelevant since Speed Dial supports more than 10 sites

4) Please elaborate - did you mean the ability to bring up Speed Dial as a "homepage" of sorts, or using it as a glorified Favourites page?

5) Already exists, you can define your own search engine.

> 1) Do you like Opera? It have satisfied you?

In the past, yes. I actually enjoyed Presto and Opera up until 12.16. Since it became based on Chromium/Blink, there's no point to me to use Opera over Chrome/Chromium.

> 2) Do you think interesting the functionality of Opera that you can set 10 favorite websites as your homepage?

Nope. I rather have a normal home page.

> 3) Are you satisfied with 10 Favorite sites or want more favorite sites?

Don't care for this feature.

> 4) The functionality to create your homepage with your favourite sites is the main functionality for you for connect you quickly on your sites or you prefer to use this functionality Opera as an option "Favorites" only with the addition of the screenshots of the sites?

Don't care for this either. Rather have the traditional home page feature set to a specific site.

> 5) Would you be interested if Opera had a function in more? A search engine with which you can search new websites through keywords as: information, economy, news, etc. ?

Don't really care.

Opera was a good browser, until it and its Presto rendering engine was retired in favor of using Chromium as the browser base and WebKit/Blink as the rendering engine. Yes, I'm aware of Presto's rendering issues. To me, Opera now is just another Chrome-based browser with no special appeal versus using Chrome/Chromium. Yes, I've tried it several times since 15, but I cannot see myself using it. The lack of customization of the interface that 12 had, the still ongoing issues in regards to bookmarks and the lack of other unique features that Opera 12 are what causes me to not consider Opera anymore. As of right now, to me, Opera is dead.
