Subscription issues and email of payment success

Recommended Posts

Our subscribers were set to expired earlier today due to a server issue which one of our developers was working on, after that all of the subscriptions were reactivated again which also triggered an automatic email via our board software for success of payment.

You were not charged again for your subscription, your subscription fee and period remains the same as when you did it yourself :)

Damn, and I was hoping for free tier 2 sub for life.... :p

On a more serious note, is this why the topics being followed were removed/reset, w/e?

Yes, I'm not exactly sure what happened but we were having some sync issues with the time on our front-end servers; and as you may have seen, the date was somehow changed to the year 2030 during the tweaking which reset all of the follows and notifications (and subscriptions).

Basically we have a number of web servers that sync, and they all need to have the exact same time in order for things not to break, and that wasn't the case at the time. That is how sometimes, someone could start a topic, and a reply was inserted as the OP (first post) because it was posted using another front end server with an earlier time (could be less than a minute difference).
