(605 euros or $831) For that price range, I think you can get a pretty mid range decent one. Also, what things are important to you? Movies? Games? Powerpoint presentations? Why would you recommend a projector that struggles with fast motion when he wants to see HD movies and play games? The InFocus only gives out 1280x720. Towards your question, you need more lumens if your room has a lot of light (natural, artificial or just ambient) and if you have a big screen. It also has the key element thta's important for a projector, very high lumen, 3000 Ansi lumen, so it's usable at day time without shutters, and with shutters it has excellent picture. curently I have a white pulldown screen, but since I'm tired of the v folds, I'll eventually be replacing it with a grey 130 inch ish frame screen. the grey shoudl give richer blacks while giving excellent whites with this projector. There is another version of this projector, that is slightly cheaper and only has one HDMI port)I believe that's the only difference). it's called somethign with 1500, but I don't remember the full model number, it's usually put in another category cause it's cponsidered a pro/meeting/business projector instead and not a HT projector. but it's the same projector, looks the same, built the same, only with one hdmi instead of two. and most likely you'll be using a receiver as a hdmi switch anyway. There aren't many decent cinema projectors for sub ?500 - so you have to compromise somewhere. The BENQ W750 HD looks to have solid reviews too so worth considering too.
