SmartGlass problem - browser not supported

Hey guys;

I'm struggling with SmartGlass over here :( I tried the scenario on my Surface Pro 2, both before AND after a clean install of Windows 8.1

 

When I load up Battlefield 4 on my Xbox One, and with it, the SmartGlass companion app on my Surface, it tells me my browser is not supported. I mean, WHAT?! I have IE11, all the latest updates... The error message recommends IE, Firefox or Chrome.

So I installed Firefox to no avail as I'd expect Windows Store apps only have access to the IE rendering engine (logically)

 

So; any idea what may cause apps to mis-detect my Internet Explorer version?

I dont have BF4, so I can't help you there.

However, I have been using Smartglass and so far I have not run into that particular error.

Have you reinstalled the smartglass app?

I even went so far that I completely re-installed my entire OS; as these stupid erros were driving me nuts. This did not fix the issue. Will keep you guys updated...
