Forum Feed on main page not going to last page of a thread.

In the past if I clicked on a forum post on the main page via the small feed. It would take me to the most recent post (or the post that prompted it to show up in the feed). Now it is just taking me to the first page on that thread.

 

Not sure if its a code thing or a browser thing so here are my specs.

 

Chrome Version 34.0.1847.11 dev-m

Are you talking about the mini spy on the main forum page? I clicked on Starbound, but because I hadn't gone in to the thread before it took me to the first page. I jumped to the last page, closed the thread and refreshed the main forum page. When I clicked on Starbound under the mini spy again, it took me to the last page - the latest unread post.

Tested with Firefox 27.0.1.

As you said, it works that way now.. Refreshed and clicked on this thread link and it took me to respective post.

 

Testing with Firefox Nightly.

 

1. If you hadn't visited xyz thread, it will open first thread despite being showing entry number in URLbar

2. Refresh and again visit that xyz thread now it will lead you to the last entry.

Yes the Mini Spy on the front page.

When i am in the forum itself everything works fine its just with the mini spy on the front page.

I've just tested that as well, and it still takes me to the latest unread post. When you mouse over the URL does it include the getnewpost at the end of the URL?

There is no mini spy on the front page. The latest forum posts box on the right of the front page should be taking you to the first unread post in that topic when you hit the link.

This likely has to do with the issue when all the subscribed topics, etc., was lost. You probably visited the threads before that issue, and haven't since, until now, which is why you are going to the front page.
