Outlook 2007 keeps trying to contact a Exchange server

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a domain client running Windows 7 with Outlook 2007 and a Windows 2003 SBS as a DC.

Each the time the domain user logs in, it nags about Exchange not being able to find a address list. I ignore the message but I see there is a Exchange account and when I try to delete it, it further nags me saying it has to transfer data over to a new data file or similar. Also, POP3 mail seems to not be able to be sent out or sent in.

There are additional clients running Windows 7 with Outlook 2007, so it is a issue only with this PC. How do I remove the Exchange account completely?

If anyone is up for TV, Im all up for it as well as I understand it is a very specific issue.

I can tv in, pm me info.

Short of that to remove mail accounts on a computer it is in control panel/mail

On the sbs server, in the exchange management console, make sure you aren't hiding the mailbox from exchange address lists.  it may not be specific to the computer, it may be specific to the user.  Try a different user to verify.

Ill try to check it out there tommorow.

I tried looking thru the SBS server and the exchange sections, but couldnt find anything enabled about exchange. I did think it might have been a user thing, but couldnt find anything there.

While there is a time issue, there is only a 6 hr time difference. Either before I am going to bed it's when you should be getting in or when I am waking up you should be just about ending your day, either way you could pm and I could help out. Our we can schedule a time and I could help out.

Ive (semisolved) it. I deleted the profiles while logged in as the user and now it doesn't whine about Exchange. Right now the only glitch is that a message pops up at the bottom right stating that some data file is corrupted and Outlook is trying to repair it. Stays like this everytime I close and open Outlook.

EDIT: Scratch that. Ive just closed and open Outlook and that message doesn't pop up anymore! :) So I guess its solved.

Thanks sc302 for trying to help.
