Rumour: Sony to release Uncharted collection for PS4 by end of 2014

Recommended Posts

Sony Computer Entertainment has scheduled a collection dedicated to Uncharted, to be released at the end of 2014 on the PlayStation 4.

The Blu-Ray contains five titles, all remastered in order to exploit the potential of the next-gen consoles:
Uncharted Drake's Fortune
Uncharted 2 Among Thieves
Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune

Maybe word has come from retailer embargoed Destination Playstation? A port/upscale of Uncharted 2 would be amazing! With Uncharted 4 not hitting till 2015, could be somewhat of a gap filler.

I never even knew about Uncharted: Fight for Fortune

Pretty annoying that U4 won't be out this year so the bundle becomes instantly out of date :P Think GoW managed it better with the Saga collection

And once again, Naughty Dog will take my money!

I hope N.D. do a full upgrade for the character models like what happened in Tomb Raider. Would love to see the world again :)

If they really do bundle it all together, which would be good value, it'll more likely be an upscale in resolution and better framerate. The models are most likely quite scalable mind you.

Used to seeing HD ports split over 2 releases if there is a lot of games... Sony would probably do this if they could for more money, but with UC4 out in 2015 it makes more sense for all of these ports to be out before it and in one release.

Very true, but what I mean is take the models used in UC3, do the whole sub surface scattering, HD textures, lighting effects etc, then apply those same models to all 3 games. That would be awesome if that could happen :)

This is good for those that don't have the games already. I have them all already, so this bundle will be hard to justify. Even if it does give me a reason to turn on my PS4.

So is this the new Movie Remake? So when the PS5 comes out are they going to remake PS4 games? How about Remaking a Remake? I feel Pimp my Ride new what was up with the X in your X so you X while you X.

These companies have figured out that we are more than willing to rebuy games in this way. sony and mS certainly got the message as the rerelease popular titles in hd packs. They now use them in the place of releasing a new game in that same series.

Not that I'm complaining though, I will buy this pack as well as long its not just a straight port of each game. They need to make some effort to update them as much as possible.

Will this be the new trend? Since we can't get UHD remakes, 1080p60 graphics? If they're as good (or better) than the Definitive Edition of Tomb Raider on the PS4, I'm totally sold.

New trend? It was a new trend starting last gen. This is just a continuation of that tactic becuase it totally works.
