Neowin Bikes Thread

Recommended Posts

Cruiser bikes have always been my passion, they gives you manly look, you feel like god when you are riding one. I am 6'4 so sporty bikes usually gives me backaches. When i was a little kid, my uncle used to own a "Royal Enfield bullet 350", when I first heard it's sound, I feel in love with it. The power of bike i felt from the sound of bike, gave me goosebumps. I decided that one day i will buy that bike.

So after working day night for 1 years, saving small amounts every month, i finally bought my dream bike, Royal Enfield Electra twinspark, with 350cc engine. 20 minutes of ride of this bad boy and i was flying. This machines runs like tank on turbo mode, you can feel the power when you ride it. Plus the sound is a big headturner, people looked at me as I passed them on my silver beast!

Congrats, glad you got your dream bike :)

Now just ride safe; you may feel like a God whilst riding it that doesn't make you immortal!

Thanks, I had 3 accidents on my last bike, so not taking chances this time. :)

That bike looks beautiful, just a few puffing and color and its gonna look like a Vintage classic!

Well, it took 1 week for people to reply in this thread, I thought no-one is interested in bikes on this forum.

I Request Mods to pin this thread and rename it to "Neowinians bike thread". Would be awesome to know more neowinians crazy about bikes :)

Hello,

I was excited because I know a lot of people get real happy with their first motorcycle than I read this:

Cruiser bikes have always been my passion, they gives you manly look, you feel like god when you are riding one.

And you ruined it. Completely.

I was gonna make a post but then I read this

Thanks, I had 3 accidents on my last bike

And I just have no more comments left to say

Enjoy your bike.

That's because they hate you.

Off topic but that is one of the best (and my favourite) South Park episodes.

Congrats on the purchase, I've always liked bikes but my girlfriend and mother always object to me buying one :p

Thanks!

I imagine it would be comfortable, but maybe it would fit better with taller handlebars.  There's also an optional kit to relocate the floorboards, shifter, and rear brake about 4" forward from their stock position.

Congrats on your bike!

My first bike was a modified Suzuki GSX-R 750. 1216cc and 157hp or something like that. Not the smartest first-bike choice. Sold it after a year.

Now I have a Suzuki Intruder 750cc from 1986. Beautiful bike and nice sound.

I'm 6.5 and the Intruder is comfortable to drive. As far as I remember the GSX-R wasn't too comfortable, but not due to my length, but to the high rpm :).

Ride safe!

Sports bikes never suited me, i like speed but every sport bike I tried, were not comfortable from me. I am a big fan of Suzuki intruder, my boss owns Suzuki intruder 1800, The sound is amazing! :)

A question, have you ever taken your bike to hills? Is it comfortable in sharp turns?

Nope, no hills. I got it late last year so haven't used it that much yet. The front fork is extended so sharp turns isn't as easy as it could be (the bike I used when I took my license was really easy to maneuver). I guess the sharpest turns are in the city, but haven't driven much there yet.

Lmfao, Well bikes are bikes, doesnt matter if they are without motors :p

@aheer: Yeah 500cc ones are not that good. 350cc are reliable and proven. That's why I went with 350cc one.

They offered me a prototype twin cylinder one, a few years back, I gave up on the whole thing (Preferred my Contessa anyway)

The only reason I know about it, was a bunch of mail for me was sent from the village my dad is from

But haven't been back in 10-15 years now, for all I know they've both become unusable by now (seized parts etc..)
