Hi All,

 

I bought Windows 8 pro when it was on special offer in the very early days. I desperately need to reinstall or to use the complete factory restore.

 

It says I need the media but this was a download from Microsoft, does anybody know where I can download it now? I cannot find it anywhere on Microsoft's site.

 

The purchase is not under my account.

 

The restore says it requires the media.

 

I am not a noob so I don't need formatting or reinstalling advice or whether I need to restore etc.

Ah sorry guys.

 

The found my order with email I provided so they sent through the original order confirmation which has download details and the key.

 

It will make boot disc for new install, but needs windows installed to start process.

Solved, I rang Microsoft.

 

Who would have thought it was that easy. Hats off to them no waiting time and solved instantly.

At first I thought, why would you need to reinstall Windows 8 Help?  How the heck do you uninstall Windows Help; isn't it part of the OS?  Anyhow, thanks for the update on how things went.
