Here's something to make it better:

This is getting ridiculous now :/

It's only 1 delay though.

It's only 1 delay though.

For this game sure, but it comes after a week of delays: The Order, Quantum Break, The Division and The Evil Within (minor delay only at least).

It's really starting to sting us early adopters more than usual at the start of a generation. I mean, last gen was drawn out longer than any other and studios were clambering for new hardware. Now none of them are even prepared. It feels like they waited for specs too long compared to the past where they'd work with estimates much earlier. Considering the hardware is so easy to work with in comparison to past generations, it just doesn't add up and makes it more frustrating.

I swear, if Destiny is delayed I'm going to lose it

I still think they should have released the consoles this christmas.

At least they would be feature complete and have a more healthy launch line up.

Also i think devs wouldn't be struggling with the hardware as much (no 1080@60fps arguments).

I'm all for delays if it brings a better product but i agree it is annoying to early adopters who have very little choice at the moment.

In some cases though. The delay did nothing (watch_dogs)

Ouch, I didn't know that :/ In that case I understand your reaction for sure!

You forgot The Witcher 3 also being delayed to next year. That's the big one I was looking forward to. Hopefully DA:I doesn't get delayed as well or every game I've been looking forward to this year will have been pushed back to 2015.

That being said I'm still looking forward to this Batman game. The stuff with the bat mobile looks awesome. We can just forget that Origins was ever made. I still haven't finished that game.

I didn't forget it, I was just counting the delays we had in the last week :P The list is getting ridiculously long these days (TES Online, Dying Light etc etc).

Can't really blame them for delaying the game, the level of technology churn right now is immense.

At the end of the day, I'd rather a dev delay a game rather than release a poorly finished or cut-up product.

All is well in the kingdom of gaming. Another day, another delay.

Please don't say that, you'll jinx it. If that happens i'll be seriously annoyed, it's not like i have so many things in this life to look forward to. Stop delaying these great games!

While i don't agree the consoles should have waited, if anything they should have arrived one year earlier than they did, i do agree that it's developers that are to "blame" for the performance issues, and very much agree that while an excellent game, i have no idea what the half year pushback did for Watch Dogs. Except help Black Flag sell more, apparently.

IIRC it was to avoid the AAA games last year. Wasn't GTA V mentioned? Seems silly since there was still a 2 month gap between releases.

Yes, that's true, GTA V was the obvious competition, though they knew in advance that it was going to be released in September. Rockstar announced that in March as I recall. We got a very nice game with Watch Dogs in the end and no complaints there, but scheduling in gaming overall could do with an improvement. This ties in to another discussion i'm having elsewhere with Emnity :D it's true this is a hobby and the world doesn't end when stuff is delayed, but hobbies make people happy and many of us really do look forward to the joy it brings - even the act of getting the games is great, as most of us don't really spend that much time actually playing them. Also on a professional level, it's not very seemly for an industry to keep announcing releases of major products publicly and then reschedule like it's nothing. It's really not that respectable if you stop to think about it. If you already gave your user base and stakeholders a date, try to keep it as much as possible. The left and right delays we're seeing says to me something is off.

Man, June 2015, talk about a wait, this final game better be massive, and I mean really massive with hours upon hours of gameplay or I will be sad.  Though seeing what they did from AA to AC I have faith and expect this to turn out very good.

This is the only PS4 game I'm looking forward to in the near term. (i.e. with a set release date)

I don't mind a few weeks delay.

Most of the other games I've got coming up I got on PC (Pillars of Eternity, Witcher 3, etc.)
