Drinkbox's Mexican folklore-themed adventure Guacamelee is to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U in the enhanced Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition.

Previously Guacamelee was a Cross-Buy affair on PS3 and Vita where it launched last April, then it came to PC in August as a suped-up Gold Edition that included all the DLC. This version has since been released on Mac and Linux via Steam.

As reported by IGN, Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition will contain all of that and more, with new abilities, bosses and levels. The studio has since confirmed to Eurogamer that the Super Turbo Championship Edition "has 20-25 per cent more content compared to the original version."

Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition doesn't yet have a release date or price, but it's said to be "coming soon."

Eurogamer wiseman Chris Donlan spoke fondly of Drinkbox's latest in his Guacamelee review last April where he stated, "Like the best luchadores in the business, Guacamelee has real heart and a blazing desire to put on a good show."

Easily one of my favorite games on the Vita from last year. Easily. I am thinking of picking it up again just to see the great visuals on the PS4 and for the new levels and DLC. Fantastic platformer for sure, and one of the few games I actually completed entirely last year.

Good to hear. This is one I never picked up on the pc but thought it looked fun, so I'll pick it up on one of the new consoles. It is possible I wait to get it via ps+ or GfG though.

That last section and final boss was so frustrating. I actually didn't find the game too difficult till that point though.

I think it took me probably over 3-4 hours just to finally get through the last section. It was brutally hard. I normally give up once a game gets like that but for some reason kept going. it was a crazy spike in difficulty though and may make some people not finish the game. I did feel a sense of achievement once I finally beat it though.

I remember the game Outland had a similar area that was also brutally hard. That's an example where I stopped playing.

Finished it with 100% of the trophies and completion. One of the best games on the SONY platform. This edition sounds great, especially with the new enemies and new bosses added. Looking forward to it (it will probably be given away with PS+, or at least given a steep discount).
