0 BajiRav
I once did my own internal site at work using basic jquery in about 30mins. it wasn't responsive but that could be easily added.
0 Rohdekill
For a personal website, this might be tolerable. But commercially, no. You can't make a first impression by forcing your users to mouse over and/or click everything. You have roughly 3-5 seconds to capture your audience's attention. Just how do you do that on a site that is roughly 50% blank and 50% requiring you to click in order to present any real information?
