safari seems to be fine but it doesn't have the search option when you try to search a keyword when surfing over the internet

I use Safari for just quick browsing and Chrome for when I need to go to favorites, or follow up on a page I had open at home or work, since Chrome has sync and it syncs browser tabs as well.

I primarily use Chrome.  I've never had any problems with Safari, but since I use Chrome on my PC, I use it on my iPhone for consistency.

Interesting.  I'm not really sure how much memory Chrome uses, but I don't typically have many tabs open, so I've never had a crash or anything.  I like that it has one Options menu, whereas Safari has a few.  Chrome also has an option to request the desktop version of a website, which has come in handy before.

The one thing I do like about Safari is that you can pin a website (shortcut) as an icon on the home screen.
